JCTGraph Summary Page

This page documents the work of my Geometry Editor for parametrical curves and surfaces I did for my thesis. Our goal was to generate accurate analytical geometries using their natural parameters. For 3D Surfaces we use functions as used in the Geometry Generator E88 by H.Sobieczky. At the moment only simple wings are included and only NACA4 digit profiles can be used as base for the wing generation. I was focusing on generating good junctions between the body and the wing part using the exact geometry definition and building the needed derivates analytically.

The Geometry in the editor is represented through sections. The number of sections calculated is one input parameter.

For controlling the geometry we use external rendering tools. This pictures are done with HighEnd, an in house Visualizer available for SUN's.

The Wing function allows Twist and Torsion as well as definition of Leading and trailing edge, etc.

The Attribute Manager handles the Parameter Input. The GUI is generated automatically. The first picture shows the parameters for the first part for the curve for the radius.

Simple body defining a surfaces of revolution.

This picture defines the topolgy like the scale, the position and the number of points calculated.
