The run-time flow data evaluation system is considered to be the prototype of a decision support system for the wind tunnel crew. It also provides a feasibility study of advanced data evaluation and parameter optimization needed for expert systems which could help to control the wind tunnel experiments in a complex setting. The combination of such post-processing tools with the modern object-oriented data acquisition system DeAs opens new opportunities to add complexity to wind tunnel tests without the costs of increasing wind tunnel running time.
