Summary

Introduction of new windtunnel testing technology including Circulation Control Splitter Blades called for improved methods for the control of the parameters and sequential process of the experiment. This was achieved by the implementation of a new, dedicated on-line data processing and flow feature extraction system which allowed the windtunnel engineers to validate experimental results and take decision on further experiments within a short time frame while the experiment was conducted. These decisions were based on information presented in a higher level of abstraction compared to previous windtunnel data display systems.
